About The Event

The Buffalo-Niagara LGBTQ History Project presents ANIMAL COLLECTIVE, an event honoring our pets and their unique roles in our lives. We will be celebrating the unconditional love between LGBTQ Buffalonians and their pets throughout time, while also documenting new history. The event will include pet adoption hosted by WNY Pets Alive, as well as the launching and sale of our zine starring our (mostly) four-legged friends. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to WNY Pets Alive to support their important local work.

Get ready to:

EXPLORE stories, photos, art, and archives of the Buffalo LGBTQ community’s furry (and feathered, and scaly) past

PREVIEW the History Project’s new zine of LGBTQ pet stories

SNUGGLE with adoptable pets, courtesy of WNY Pets Alive

SHARE your own stories and memories, live on stage.

Food and drinks available.
